Prickly Heat

Yesterday, I was grizzly and barbed and irritable. I was on edge and tired and unfocussed. I felt vulnerable and uneasy and on guard. I was distracted and stressed and restless. I couldn't get away from feeling cantankerous and annoyed and intolerant. I was worried and impatient and discouraged.

And I spent way too much time gazing out my window because I'm in denial about just how much work I have piling up. If I ignore it, will it go away? How's that for a totally irrational approach. And if all that wasn't enough, I have a headache that refuses to quit.

Who the hell is this woman inhabiting my body right now?

I don't like her. Much.

Work piling up? I thought that shredders took care of that;-)

But seriously, do take care Fi.

Thankfully we do Fiona, no matter how you're feeling :)

Give yourself a break Girl, and wait for the phonecall, you know which one I'm talking about. THAT will make you feel better!

Hang in there, Fiona!

We all get stuck letting work pile up. I used to care, now I don't give a damn. Example ... today I read my last e-mail from April 30 ... I read the easy ones, the ones that don't contain work for me to do ... as they come in. So, I am almost 2-1/2 months behind just on e-mail delivered work.

Oh well ... don't let it get to you my friend.

I agree with Fusion. It doesn't matter how you're feeling hun ... we like ya :)

And completely love lephare's idea of the paper shredder!

Take care sweetie.

Okay, Lephare and Fusion definitely got it right. What more is there to say?

Oh yeah.

Take care of yourself. You won't do anyone any favors by running yourself ragged.

Lephare - if only. I've found out the shredder sod's law rule the hard way. You can keep something for a year then decide to shred it. The next day, someone wants to see it!! Thank you for your kind thoughts. :)

Fusion - aaawww thank you, that means a lot to me. I got THE phone call and it was wonderful, as ever. He cheered me up as he always does, he brings a peace to my soul :)

Jonas - I'm a-hangin'. Thank you :)

George - with our auto-delete policy to keep server space free, there would be quite a few I'd miss altogether *L*. I have to clear e-mails every day. Same as my in-tray! Thank you for the words of encouragement George :)

Oblivion - big hug and thank you, it means a lot to me :)

Trueself - times like this I so want to be taken care of, just a little. I bet it's the same for you hon. Thank you :)

Sunny - I feel like Sally Field "You like me, you really like me". Today was another difficult day, I feel such a wimp over what happened but your supportive email helped a lot. Thank you. BBGR hugs :)

Another day down - will soon be time for you to have a holiday and forget all about the current temporary angst. Get your sister to get Lupo on the phone to you when your feeling down.

Re the shredder rule - get one of those fancy high-speed scanners that automatically create PDF files. Then you can just scan everything one-two-three and shred away, confident that you have an electronic facsimile ready to pull out when needed. Bits on a hard drive take a lot less space than papers on a desk, in a file, strewn about the room... ;-)

D - I did think recently about going on webcam with my sis so Lupo could see me. But I think he'd start looking for me and get upset. My sis only has to say "Lupo where's your mummy" for him to get all excited *L*

Matt - No shredding of most things here, we need originals (contracts, evaluations, etc.) Thank god I'm not the one doing filing, it's the one thing I hate doing at work. What irks me is when I'm asked to do some analysis or draft a proposal, and I do it. Then I hear nothing more about it. I hate time-wasting!!

I find I do that alot as well. Especially when Im preoccupied, which seems to be way too much lately. Knowing I have a crap load of work to do, but not about to do it.

You'll be back to yourself soon (((BIG HUGS)))
