The Redcoats Are Coming...The Redcoats are Coming

No, not the Brits.....but the rotund elderly gentlemen with long white beards.

First, I noticed in the card shop, a whole section of birthday cards replaced by Christmas cards.

Then, I noticed the Christmas decorations beginning to appear around here.

I couldn't help but notice on my UA flight back to Hong Kong, that they were piping in Christmas carols as I boarded.

And my ears did not fail me the other day, when I noticed Anuja adding in some Christmas tunes to her repertoire (she sings a lot at work). I do believe I heard her own rendition of 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'. And yes, she sings all the parts.

But today at Starbucks, when my grande-skim-latte-with-an-extra-shot-please came in a red paper cup with an insulating sleeve decorated in white with red snowflakes, I knew that Christmas will soon be upon us. I skipped the gingerbread or eggnog flavouring options - all I can say is yuck-yuck-yuckity-yuck to that.

But I did have a cranberry scone and THAT is one of the best things about Christmas to me.

Ho Ho Ho.

Better yet, I'll make him nervous by saying I want to sit on his lap and tell him what I want for Christmas ;)

LOL!!! Fi. :)

And why would that make him nervous?

Because he's not used to such big girls sitting on his lap *L*

Linz is a big fan of those cranberry scones.

Miranda - being TOO ready makes it dull...part of the fun is mad rushing around *L*

I'm with Linz...I only wish they had them year-round....the pumpkin one comes in a close second, followed by the apple cinnamon :)

You know it's near Christmas when ASDA (Wal-Mart) use festive carrier bags. I'm a re-cycle sort of person and have been using last years for several weeks. Even write cards in pencil so people can re-use them. lol...

FB if you get to a Starbucks, see if they have that item...they are just SO yummy!!!

Ummmm Ian....do you have Scottish blood? *L* Actually having said that, it's pure myth...some of the most generous people I know are Scots - me included ;)

The Starbucks flavors sound totally..yuck! But oh the cranberry scone sounds yummy, I adore cranberrys......

The man in the red coat is just going to have to wait a bit...I sooo not ready for him....I still have to deal with a very large turkey! Then I will think about Christmas.

Plus methinks someone very special has a birthday coming up VERY soon! *VBS*
