Ginger Delight

This bevvy, from down under, is seriously good! I love anything ginger and have just added this to my regular shopping list. A real plus is that it comes in a bottle and things always taste better out of a bottle, rather than out of a tin/can/tin can.

Damn - I can find good ginger beer here, but never good DIET ginger beer... Some of the Jamaican imports are nice, but a little too strong on the ginger - you're still thirsty when you finish them!

Wonderful stuff, just the right gingery goodness and not too foamy.

It won't be cheap but they'll ship it to you Matt : Bundaberg diet ginger beer

Fiona - have you tried FENTIMANS - Ginger beer and also D&G both of which are very nice in my opinion - the after burn is great just like a good curry ;-)

D - I've looked, not stocked here. And anyway it's not DIET...I need the DIET version as I prefer to eat my calories ;)

I've never had or seen ginger beer. This might sound like a silly question, but is it the same as ginger ale?

Anna - if you like ginger, you'll love ginger beer. It's not sparkling like the ale, and has a greater body to it. It's a bit cloudy in appearance and if poured correctly you get a beer-like head on it. This diet one is great because it's such a lovely change from the usual diet sodas. Try it if you find it!

Fi: you aren't kidding, it is expensive! Bit out of my range for the time being.

Anna: the ginger beers I've found are carbonated, but just imagine ginger ale that, instead of sweet, or even dry, tastes really SPICY - the ginger shines through above all else. Some are less spicy, some more - the Jamaican ones tend toward real spicy.
