Spa Pool Villa at Banyan Tree Phuket - check check check - and thank you my good friend for making such an amazing honeymoon possible!!!
The Spa Pool Villa epitomizes the Banyan Tree experience of romance, indulgence and rejuvenation. Its elegant 'floating' bed pavilion is set amidst tranquil lily ponds; the king-sized bed is draped in pure Thai silk and looks up on a canopy ceiling adorned with soft fabrics that sway gently in the breeze. Your dedicated in-villa spa, private pool, jet-pool, outdoor shower and sunken bath set the stage for passionate nights and pure relaxation.
Passionate nights and pure relaxation are the order of the day :)
Finally we're getting our honeymoon. My husband (that always brings a huge smile to my face) is coming out for a visit, for two whole weeks! Apart from seeing Hong Kong and meeting all my awesome friends, I'm planning a real getaway. Time to pull in a favour from someone who owes me a few. Most likely, we'll be spending five nights at one of these
resorts. As we don't want to travel too far, it will be either Bintan (Indonesia) or Phuket (Thailand).
Personally, I have my eye on this one: The Spa Pool Villa epitomizes the Banyan Tree experience of romance, indulgence and rejuvenation. Its elegant 'floating' bed pavilion is set amidst tranquil lily ponds; the king-sized bed is draped in pure Thai silk and looks up on a canopy ceiling adorned with soft fabrics that sway gently in the breeze. Your dedicated in-villa spa, private pool, jet-pool, outdoor shower and sunken bath set the stage for passionate nights and pure relaxation:
There will be lots of lounging around. Lots of pillow time. Skinny-dipping in our private pool. Getting sand between our toes (and who knows where else) on the beach. Some great food. Spa treatments. And even a round or two of golf. But best of all, we get some time together. For just us. We need that so very badly.

Umm, can I come with you? Please. I'll be very quiet. You'll hardly know I'm there:)
Have a wonderful time.
Me too? We'll both be quiet...
Those places look wonderful...

Well I suppose it looks all right... if you like that kind of thing.
;-)
Those are some exquisite resorts. Enjoy!
Well Deb, the villas DO come with a second bedroom...but it looks like you'll be sharing with John *L*
John...see above ;)
Kimba - they are gorgeous villas with total privacy, each contained behind a wall and with outside showers and baths and the whole shebang :) Whenever I see 'your husband' or say 'my husband', I get this little thrill through my entire body :) :)
Anna - thank you - the first three are Phuket, the last one Bintan and I do love that infinity pool just outside the living room....water is soooooooo relaxing :)
FB - I do, I do, I do *L*....I've always liked Asian resorts, they are so....appealing to the senses :)
Jonas - it helps that the guy who is top of the group, is someone I helped when he was a young hotel trainee - he hasn't forgotten that :)
I am SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!! VVVVVVVBS
Enjoy, Fiona - it looks magnificent ! I am so happy for you - two weeks with your love will be so very lovely indeed :)
Steve - we BOTH are :) :) :) Only another three sleeps!! I can't wait to open my arms and have you walk into my embrace.
Loving Annie - I know from your recent travels that you, also, enjoy a good hotel or two :) I work for one of the top hotel companies in the world, small but exclusive, my expectations go are always high, whenever I visit others.
Fiona - it's a long way from that campervan you toured the States in last year and what a fantastic journey it has been. Enjoy showing off your wonderful husband to your friends I'm sure all parties involved will agree just how lucky you are. D x
How exciting! All looks fab! Enjoy! Cheers
Where's S'Mee? I think it's time someone urged caution.
Freebird,
No time for restraint;
only reserve. :)
and, and, and, and, and...
Hi Patsy - thank you. It looks like five days of thunderstorms and rain, so I'll bet we'll be making VERY good use of the villa....hope we get to golf and sit on the beach, too, though :)
Hahahahaha FB good one. I think he's given up on advising caution in my case, not like I ever have *L*
Steve - you betcha. And never letting an opportunity pass us by, just saving it for later if we can't do anything about it right then and there.
Well folks, we're down to less than 30 hours now....and it's all good. We even got last minute direct flights which means two extra half-days at the resort as no need to transit through Bangkok. Plus, Steve managed to get an upgrade to business class no the long-haul sector. Thank goodness, I was worried sick about where he was going to put those gorgeous long legs of his way back there in the cheap seats!!! :)
Daaaaaaaamn! I'm so jealous. That looks wonderful!
Looks exquisite Fiona but to go there young and just married are you certain that you will be able to see other sights aside from the one in your bed?
Fiona-
First off, it looks like a smashing place to have a honeymoon.
I remember the first morning of being husband and wife. We had spent our wedding night at this charming B&B in the nearby woods. When we went to breakfast, there was a gentleman at the table. I will never forget the odd but warm feeling of saying "this is my wife..."
While there are many wonderful places to spend a honeymoon but it's the feelings and the companionship that you'll remember most.
