The Eye of the Storm

Is directly over me right now. We have our second highest possible typhoon alert up and it is dead calm outside. Not a leaf on the nearby trees is stirring.

Small though Hong Kong is, the storm managed to find us. Apparently, as it hovered over us, it 're-organised itself' as the observatory reported. Bringing the eye a few miles off from where I sit typing.

The winds will start back up soon and it will be my turn to feel them, so far I've been fairly protected. Meanwhile, sitting in this calm in the middle of a typhoon is a strange thing indeed. Nature is phenomenal.

I love, love, love thunder storms, but being in typhoon would be a whole other story methinks. Be safe my friend.

It sounds fascinating actually, watching nature unleash its power. Which it shouldn't be because of the devastation it can cause.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that you will be safe. Fiona.

Thank you Sunny, Annie, Patsy, Just Me, DG, and Veracity.

Am happy to report that I survived the storm with no damage, save for a few leaves on my windows which have been baked onto the glass and a bit of a leak around a windowframe.

I'm hoping for some more rain to wash the leaves away, I DO NOT lean out of my window on the 35th floor, so they're going to sit there until nature removes them :)
