Today is dedicated to 9/11...September 11....gau yaht yaht (as it is referred to here)
In memory of those who perished, those who lost loved ones, those who found it too hard to go on afterwards.
And..to Bill, wherever you are. My thoughts, and my heart, are with you today.

It is such a sad day to remember. But, we remember so many incredible people... so many incredible heroes today.
That's so true Steve - and I shall remember them too. Sometimes the hardest thing IS to go on.
Courage came in many shapes and forms that day. Some expected, some a surprise. All so very honoured.
It was a useless tragedy. So sad.
Funny how I can't remember what I was doing at 9:03am this morning but I can clearly remember what I was doing at 9:03am 5 years ago today. I wonder in 20 years if we will still remember this as clearly? I dont think I will ever get the pictures out of my mind.
Have just watched a programme about Rick Rescorla, head of security at Morgan Stanly, who got all his people out but didn't make it himself. He was from Hayle, U.K, about 30 minutes drive from here, and Rescorla is a hamlet four miles from us.
He is much thought of, as are all of those who lost their lives on that day.
We had a 2-hour BBC special last night....it was an excellent programme but there were parts I just couldn't watch...not again
