In The Beginning

In the beginning
there was empathy

The empathy
led to interest

The interest
led to affection

The affection
led to togetherness

The togetherness
led to adoration

The adoration
led to cherishing

The cherishing
led to sharing

The sharing
led to appreciation

The appreciation
led to respect

The respect
led to love

The love
will lead to forever

And forever
there will be
empathy
interest
affection
togetherness
adoration
cherishing
sharing
appreciation
respect
love

*yawn*...
oh wait, that's because it's early, not because you're in love.

Although, honestly, I'd rather read about your food experiences, nay, adventures! or laugh at your Dilbert-esque comedy at work, or lose myself picking at the threads of the rich tapestry of your daily hum-drum life. (No, I don't conversate like that - it took five minutes to think that crap up) In short, I'd rather read about you and your life. Yes, yes, I know, your love is your life, but you love him, he loves you, nic-nac paddy-whack give the dog a bone. Geez, we get it already. Although, reading about Living It Up While Going Down in a Dodge Caravan (apologies to Aerosmith) was great fun.
Before your green eyes start seeing red I'm just kidding...a little...maybe...lol
As with all your devoted and occasional readers and the infrequent stop-ins, I'm happy you're happy. I thought the post about your fears about where this relationship is going was especially poignant. I hope you can understand that no matter what happens with it, no matter how much you may or may not be hurt in future days, if you're in love with a good person who loves you, than where else would you be? Like the song from Martina McBride says, '...do it anyways.' (Does the period come before or after the quotation mark - told you it was early). If he wasn't a good man and you weren't happy, then it wouldn't be such a crime to stay because you're miserable, but it'd be a tragedy because you're in actuality actively denying a better, more loving, relationship elsewhere. So in the words of some 60's guru somewhere, rest easy and let the love flow. Where the hell was I going with this? If I could ever remember what my blogger username and password is I would reveal myself.

In the words of Harry Connick Jr, "and that's the recipe for making love".

Beautiful.

hey "justathought"

it sounds like you are battling your own bouts of ennui and self-loathing...

here, is hoping that you get over that soon.

Fiona....beautiful, darling!

And, I am glad that you both feel so lucky!!!!

steve-o,

George, Sophie, Fushion, Kate - thank you, it is what it is, just totally incredible!

Anonymous (justathought)...hmmmmmmm. No matter how much you may get it, I will be writing about my feelings right here, so settle in for a boring time if you plan to visit often :)

Some of what you said seems a little mixed up, for example I'm really not sure what to make of: If he wasn't a good man and you weren't happy, then it wouldn't be such a crime to stay because you're miserable, but it'd be a tragedy because you're in actuality actively denying a better, more loving, relationship elsewhere.

Steve - Big big smile. We are both lucky and blessed - lucky to have met and blessed to have found this incredible love we share ;)

just meant that being miserable, admittedly bad, wouldn't be the worst part...the worst part would be actively denying something better for yourself by staying in a bad relationship. But fortunately that's not your case here, so of course, write your feelings. I said I was kidding, didn't I? :p

Miranda - with hopefully even more wonderful endings :)

Anonymous (justathought) perhaps it was the I'm just kidding...a little...maybe...lol ? You're right, there's nothing worse than staying in a bad relationship hoping it might change.
